Project: A body of work in oil paint, watercolor and ink, based on the surrounding landscape structures. Drips, pours, residues and build-ups of paint surfaces form and combine to create images at once separate and unified. The images are often painted onto constructions of sewn and bound canvases, which in turn are stacked and arranged to create structures and formations suggestive of architecture. The emphasis is on the bonding of the ephemeral (weather, vapors, chemical reactions) with the solid (architecture, landmasses, bound and sewn objects).
