Project: An orchestral work consisting of five movements, three of which are for mezzo-soprano voice and orchestra based on the poems of Provençal writers, notably the poet Rose-Marie Pomet. The piece is organized into four alternating orchestral and vocal-orchestral movements and a longer vocal-orchestral finale. Among the purely instrumental movements is a passacaglia. The poems can be sung in either French or their native Provençal.
