Project: A string quartet using materials composed for a wind quintet and employing for its last movement the one that was originally written for winds and rewritten for strings. The first movement of the quartet is finished, the second is well advanced but may not be finished by the end of the term, and the last is merely waiting for revision into quartet form.

Three songs were also composed for alto voice and cello, commissioned in February 2000, by Christina Ascher and Christoph von Erffa for performance in Heidelberg on May 29, 2000.
